C-Section Shorts

C-Section Shorts FAQs

  1. How do the Belly Bandit C-Section Recovery Shorts work?
Belly Bandit® C-Section Recovery Shorts use targeted compression to promote healing and provide extra comfort throughout your postpartum recovery. Unlike regular compression shorts, C-section recovery shorts are designed to give you different levels of support in the areas your body needs it most. Featuring three different compression zones, these shorts help stabilize your core, protect your incision site, and reduce swelling, all while being super comfortable.
  2. What is the purpose of c-section recovery shorts?
C-section recovery shorts are designed to help relieve pain and support healing after a cesarean delivery. No birth is easy, but a C-section can be especially difficult, since it brings many unique postpartum challenges. C-section recovery shorts can help mitigate some of these difficulties to make your recovery a smoother and more comfortable process.
  3. When should you start wearing c-section recovery shorts?
As soon as they feel comfortable! Some moms feel better wearing their C-section recovery shorts on their way home from the hospital, while others prefer to wait a few days before beginning to wear them regularly. Start wearing these C-section recovery shorts after delivery whenever it feels most comfortable for you.
  4. Do these c-section recovery shorts provide compression?
Yes! In fact, Belly Bandit C-Section Recovery Shorts are designed with targeted compression technology, which means they provide different levels of compression to different areas of the body. You can now have the best of both worlds: firm compression levels around your midsection and core, and more gentle compression levels around your incision site.
  5. Can I wear a belly band together with c-section recovery shorts?
Technically, yes. However, there really is no need to wear both at the same time, since your Belly Bandit C-Section Recovery Shorts are able to provide the same amount of compression and support around your midsection as a belly band would. A belly band is great to wear in tandem with compression leggings, like our Mother Tucker® postpartum leggings, whereas the C-section recovery shorts are more of an all-in-one option. We like wearing them as regular biker shorts with a comfy oversized tee or sweatshirt.
  6. What are the best c-section recovery shorts?
The Belly Bandit C-Section Recovery Shorts, of course! Not only do they support your core and pelvic floor muscles, but they’re also made from a soft, breathable knit fabric with a panel of silver-infused fibers to help minimize odor and prevent bacteria. And we can’t forget all of the extra features we’ve added for maximum comfort—like the “gotta-go” gusset for easy bathroom use, Stayput™ technology to prevent rolling, and thigh chafing protection. These shorts have everything you could possibly need!
  7. How soon after c-section can you wear c-section recovery shorts?
As soon as you‘d like. Of course, we always recommend consulting your primary care physician first to make sure you’re aware of any specific concerns or recommendations they may have for your unique situation.
